FAREWELL LIFE MEMBER RAY SCOTT
Some of you may know Ray Scott, a founding member of ABRA and long term member of the Aldinga Bay community. Ray passed away peacefully at home on the 8th December. ABRA will publish a story about Ray in the next Coastal Views.

ADELAIDE BIPLANES DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION
You may know that Adelaide Biplanes have been hoping for some time to get approval to build a unique new facility on Colville Rd at Aldinga, comprising biplanes, hangars, function centre, cellar door, and landscaped gardens. After much delay the proposal is going to public consultation once more. Submissions close 5 January 2026. WANGKUNTILA ALDINGA CONSERVATION PARK: WAVE POOL NEWS
Senior Wetland Ecologist Mr Ben Taylor has completed his final Report with latest data and what’s next for restoring and protecting the Washpool.

THE BREAK WAVE POOL DEVELOPMENT-COMMUNITY LETTER OF CONCERN.
The Community Letter of Concern with over 700 names, about lack of community consultation for or against the development, was finalised and forwarded to Elected Members, the Mayor and MPs. The outcome of the development application will be decided at a future Council Assessment Panel Meeting (CAP). For more info please email pam.zervas@zedmc.com.au.

AQUATIC CENTRE CAMPAIGN
The Action Group took a deputation and motion to the Council Meeting on Tuesday 9th December, seeking support for the land in the green triangle to be set aside for recreation, and potentially an aquatic centre. The motion was passed unanimously. The Mayor will now write to Renewal SA.
