Villawood: For more information and updates re community engagement visit the website at www.villawoodproperties.com.au. Encumbrances are being finalised in the next few months. Block sizes from 98m2 to 550m2, one to 3 storey. 600 homes plus a 200 home over 55’s lifestyle village. 25 percent affordable homes. 

The Wave Pool. On the 27th March over 200 people attended the Council Assessment Panel (CAP) meeting to hear the variation application from the developers of the Wave Pool project, previously approved for the corner of Tuit Rd and Bowering Hill Rd, Aldinga. There were 18 speakers to various submissions, all against the variation. The variation was approved, subject to further acoustic and lighting reports. Legal action is underway in the Supreme Court. Agenda and minutes are on the Council website under ‘Council Assessment Panel’.

Time to Vote: The Federal election is to be held on 3 May 2025. Unfortunately, we will not be able to schedule a candidates forum after all, for reasons beyond our control. Our apologies.

Seaford-Sellicks Rail Corridor. On 16th March 2025 Premier Peter Malinauskas announced The Southern Rail Corridor, an extension of the rail corridor from Seaford to Sellicks Beach. There’s a map with a line on it.

Next Public Meeting: Sellicks Beach Hall, Monday 19th May 2025 7.30pm (note later start time). Guest speakers to be confirmed.

June and July public meetings to be confirmed.
