Quarry dust meeting tonight; wave pool meeting next week....

Thank you to everyone who came along to the ABRA March meeting last night, and WELCOME to our six new members. We have added you to the subscriber list as well, so you will receive updates such as this.

Last night we heard from Katy Ellens, Senior Development Manager at Villawood, on where things are at with the Aldinga housing development. For more information visit the website at www.villawoodproperties.com.au.

We also finalised some general questions for Council on issues around stormwater: Planning, stormwater, and the washpool. Cr Paul Yeomans undertook to arrange a speaker(s) for a future meeting. Thank you Paul. Ongoing stormwater issues regarding How Road and St Ann’s Church were raised again. Will the current Main South Road Duplication and Villawood development works improve things?

TONIGHT: Sellicks Beach Community Hall 6.30 pm.  A Sellicks Beach Quarry Dust Contamination Community Meeting, convened by The Hon Frank Pangallo, Independent Member, Legislative Council of SA, to be held to discuss the ongoing dust issues attributed to the ADBRI Southern Quarry. All welcome.

NEXT THURSDAY 27th March, South Adelaide Football Club, 1 Lovelock Driver, Noarlunga Downs, 6.30 pm. Council Assessment Panel (CAP) meeting to hear the variation application from the developers of the Wave Pool project approved for the corner of Tuit Rd and Bowering Hill Rd, Aldinga. Due to the large amount of submissions and anticipated attendance, the venue has been changed from the usual place at Council chambers to the football club. Agenda and documents will be posted on the Council website on 21 March 2025. For more information contact pam.zervas@zedmc.com.au on 0417 817 402 or Maureen Tyler at aandmtyler@gmail.com on 0422 903 048. All welcome.
