SKODA STREET PUBLIC HOUSING? Your Say Onkaparinga
Last month we let you know that a number of land revocations are proposed, including Mindarie Street, Port Willunga and Skoda Street, Port Willunga. The SKODA STREET YourSay is now out for consultation.
Council is proposing land will be revoked, not for sale but for a 42 year lease for construction of community, social and affordable housing. This would involve using part of an established community green space for housing.
You can talk with Council about this on Saturday 17 May at the Aldinga Shopping Centre anytime between 10am and 1pm
AND don’t forget to provide your feedback by 26 May to YourSay at the link:

ALDINGA BAY AQUATIC CENTRE CAMPAIGN
Some news! The Action Group recently received an advance copy of the Planning Study Report, completed June 2024. The Report recommends a site in the Green Triangle (the Renewal SA land bounded by Port Road, Bowering Hill Road, Quinliven Road, and the proposed rail corridor) for a potential aquatic centre. The group wrote to Council asking Elected members for their support for advocacy to Renewal SA to preserve the land for sport and recreation. More info when the report is available.
